Speaking at Kscope22!

I’m extremely honored and excited to shared that I will be presenting at Kscope22! This is a very special Kscope for me for two reasons. First, it happens to be in my backyard! And second, Kscope22 is my 10th Kscope that I’ve had privilege of being selected to speak. My very first Kscope was all the way back in 2010 in Washington D.C. Over the years I’ve made many friends at Kscope, so missing the last two years has been rough. With COVID keeping us all apart so long, I can’t wait to see everyone!

Olympus at Kscope22

With Kscope22 being so close to home, you can expect Olympus Consulting to have a big presence there and we’ll have an announcement and discount code published here on the site soon. In the meantime, you can check out the site here:

My Presentation

I am presenting on a topic I’ve spent a lot of time with: Free Form Planning. The title of of my presentation is Free Form Planning…The Real Cloud-based Essbase. Here’s the session summary for those interested:

On-Premises Essbase is everywhere! And while 21C can be an option for on-premises replacement, Free Form planning has become a much more attractive option with companies already licensing Oracle EPM Cloud for Planning and Consolidations. This session will focus on the migration of Essbase applications to the cloud while leveraging the experience of migrating dozens of real-world applications. We will cover the initial import of the application and the options for replacing data load rules, meta-data load rules, and MaxL. Performance in the cloud will be evaluated along with the scalability of Free Form planning with successful migration examples of multi-million member cubes. If you have Essbase on-premises and are looking for the path forward, this session is for you.

I hope to see everyone at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas in a few short months!
