Challenge

This family-owned car dealership group, comprising over 15 dealerships across the United States, faced significant challenges with its entirely manual financial reporting process. Each month, trial balances were manually extracted from operational systems, manipulated, and consolidated using complex spreadsheet formulas, leading to frequent issues and inefficiencies.

Solution

To address these challenges, Oracle Cloud EPM Planning was implemented to provide consolidated financial and operational reporting. A comprehensive three-statement model, including the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and automated Cash Flow, was established, along with additional statistical metrics.

Result

Upon completion of the implementation, the three financial statements were automatically generated with full integration from the source ledgers of all dealerships. This solution provided comprehensive reporting for all operating units and real estate entities, enabling frequent data updates and full ad hoc reporting capabilities across the entire enterprise.
