Oracle Cloud EPM Updates: March 2025
The documentation for the March update to Oracle Cloud EPM has been released. As a reminder, these updates are applied in test during the first daily maintenance that occurs after Friday, March 7, 2025 at 22:00 UTC and in production two weeks later during the first daily maintenance that occurs after Friday, March 21, 2025 at 22:00 UTC. This month’s update includes a fix to a problem that we have been working around for over 20 years in Essbase! Exciting!
Shared Members...the fix is in!
Over the last 25+ years since the introduction of Essbase, those of us working with the tool have always struggled with maintaining outlines with Shared Members. When you add a shared member for a member that is already shared…you end up with two shared members. Unless of course, you delete ALL of the members for a dimension. We all know how dangerous and potentially destructive that can be. With the March update, we now have the ability to remove ONLY Shared Members! This is far less destructive and does not present a risk of data loss.
