Oracle Essbase Patch Update 21.7.2.0.0: What’s New in May 2025
Look at Oracle’s latest patch release – Essbase 21.7.2.0.0 – May 2025 – Independent Deployment. As mentioned in my previous Essbase 21c version release post, Oracle has introduced enhancements that bolster performance, scalability, and usability. This update addresses critical functionality improvements and introduces new features to enhance the user experience across finance, IT, and operations teams. In this post, we will explore what defects have been fixed in the version:

Note:
Starting with this release, Redwood is the default Essbase web interface. Redwood is Oracle’s standard interface with a modern look and feel. In the next major release, the older Classic interface will be unavailable.
Essbase Release Update patches only contain Essbase binaries. Other patches, such as for Fusion Middleware, can be downloaded and applied manually.
